Cycle the Rockies Scholarship

The Scholarship

Energy production and associated climate change are among the most pressing issues facing our communities, our economy, and our environmental resources in the Northern Rockies and around the world. Crafting a sustainable energy future requires leaders who understand the complexity of our energy and climate challenges, and who have the tools and inspiration to initiate creative solutions.

WRFI seeks scholarship applicants with a demonstrated interest in energy and climate issues, active curiosity, good critical thinking skills, and a commitment to play a positive role in our future energy decisions. The Cycle the Rockies Scholarship grants scholarships to students based on need and merit. Recipients will be required to share their experience and present their findings to a public audience.

Other Ways to Raise Funds

This course topic has generated a lot of interest, and it is likely you could secure some of your own financial support. One way to do this is to ask friends and family to sponsor your trip on a per mile basis. Ten cents per mile would bring you $70. If you find ten people to do this, you generate $700 toward your tuition. Find twenty-five people, and you have raised more than half the tuition. Best of luck!
