Beth Cogswell
Beth joined WRFI in 2026 as Director of Community Development and Fundraising. She grew up in Great Falls, Montana and Boise, Idaho before moving to Missoula 35 years ago. It was there where she met her late husband Rick, a visual artist who also grew up in north central Montana. Together they raised two sons, Finn and Sam and enjoyed many adventures snorkeling, camping and stargazing throughout Montana and the Pacific Northwest.
Beth has spent her career in development and executive leadership roles for nonprofits including Planned Parenthood of Montana, Five Valleys Land Trust, Youth Homes, and University of Montana Foundation, where she raised money for the Davidson Honors College, the School of Journalism and the President’s Office. She is a mission-driven person who is thrilled to be working for WRFI.
In addition to her work at WRFI, Beth is a poet and essayist. In her free time, she hikes, swims, bikes and downhill skis. She loves to read, cook and grow flowers and doesn’t go a day without listening to music. Her guilty pleasure is watching international murder mysteries.
