Megan was born in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. She split her younger years between Rocky Mountain House (this is the actual name of the town) and Chicago, Illinois. The dichotomy of environments instilled Megan with a love for wide open spaces. Missoula has been her home for the last 15 years where she works as a physical therapist. In 2008, Megan joined WRFI on the Alaska Tongass course which deepened her love for nature. Megan raced with the US National Team as a cyclist for ten years and got the opportunity to travel the world. Since retiring she has been able to enjoy more diverse recreation and likes to ski, paddle board, hike, and slowly wander the trails with her old dog.
