Zoe Transtrum

Enrollment Coordinator

Zoe (she/her) first became involved with the Wild Rockies Field Institute as a student on the Restoration Ecology course in 2021. While trekking across the backcountry of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, she fell in love with identifying native flora, stargazing, wolf watching, and experiencing existential moments on mountain tops.

Wanting to keep those bits of magic in her life, Zoe joined the WRFI team as an administrative assistant, field intern, and now serves as the Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator. She feels inspired by the passion and joy everyone involved with WRFI brings and, as a recent alum, enjoys connecting with prospective students. Zoe holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana and currently lives in Seattle where she spent the summer leading backpacking trips with youth in the Cascades and Olympic Coast. She enjoys cold plunging in the Salish Sea, playing pick-up soccer, watching live music, and trail running.
