The Wild Rockies Field Institute is thrilled to have you join us on our first annual alumni excursion! For eight days we will paddle on the legendary Green River between the towering cliffs of Labyrinth Canyon. Think: lime green cottonwoods, brilliant orange crags, and azure blue skies!
This is an opportunity to get outside, reconnect with WRFI culture, meet up with old course mates, exchange ideas, relax, and get a breath of fresh air. We'll send you a few suggested readings to help you get to know the place and get in the WRFI frame of mind--but these will just be for fun. No papers, quizzes or exams this time around! Be sure to touch base with other WRFI alumni and encourage them to join in!
Space is limited so apply early. All alumni are encouraged to invite one non-alumni guest (must be 18 or older).
Dates: March 11-18, 2017
Cost: $1,250 (all meals, permit fees, transportation during the trip and group gear is provided)
Location: Trip begins and ends in Moab, Utah. Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Moab. We will put-in the river on March 12 at the Green River State Park and we will take out at Mineral Bottom on March 17.
Trip Leaders: WRFI Outreach Manager, Bethany Applegate, and WRFI Instructor, Daisy Purdy
