Nick Triolo

Instructor

Nick Triolo is a writer, filmmaker, and long-distance mountain runner. He holds a M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana (2016). In addition to teaching and mentoring students at high school and university levels for the past decade, Nick is Senior Guide for Aspire Adventure Running, where he facilitates multi-day trail running trips around Mount Rainier National Park. He is also Board Member for the Freeflow Wilderness Writing Institute, a Missoula-based outfitter that combines public lands, whitewater rafting, and creative writing. Growing up in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, Nick has spent much of his life in the high sierra and wilderness areas of the Pacific Northwest. He is also an editor for Orion Magazine and publishes regular articles on ecology, place-belonging, and civic engagement.
