Ash joined the WRFI team in 2023 as a field instructor, and transitioned to the Enrollment and Field Operations Coordinator in 2025. Ash was born in Havre, MT and has been rooted in Missoula, MT since 2014. They received an MS in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana where they focused on the intersections of pedagogy and environmental justice. Ash has worked in various education and recreation capacities in the region- as a commercial river guide for LCTA, a snowboard instructor & coordinator at MT Snowbowl, a skateboard instructor & summer camp counselor for Missoula Parks and Recreation and with various other local non-profits. Ash hopes to empower others to develop & utilize their own unique gifts so as to help build more resilient, liberated, and civically engaged communities.
