Gail Gutsche

Development Manager

Gail joined WRFI in January 2022 to serve as Interim Executive Director, while the WRFI Board conducted a nationwide search for its next dynamic leader, Matt Baker-White! Gail remains on board as a development consultant. A former WRFI Board member, Gail has a lengthy history with the organization, and is whole-heartedly committed to its mission. Originally from Minnesota, Gail grew up waterskiing, sailing, boating, fishing, ice skating and playing broom hockey on White Bear Lake. Gail has called Missoula her home for the past 30 years. She has had an extensive career in nonprofit development, fundraising and programming. In addition, Gail served four terms in the Montana House of Representatives, and one term on the Montana Public Service Commission. A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter MN, Gail majored in English with a Journalism emphasis. Gail enjoys writing, cooking, camping, hiking, and biking, but on any given sunny day, she’d rather be on the river.
