Robin Zeal

Administrative Coordinator

Robin (and her dog, Penny) joined WRFI in June 2022 after moving to Missoula to be closer to her grandchildren and their parents. She taught elementary school for 30 years in Oregon, Alaska and Montana, as well as teacher preparation courses at the college level before retiring and venturing into the field of accounting and tax preparation. She holds a M.Ed. in Technology from Lesley University. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon and a graduate of the University of Oregon, she longed for a place where there was more snow than rain and after working for the U.S. Forest Service in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, she landed in Whitefish where she raised her children, Shaun and Erika Hildner. Her love of the outdoors beckoned her from Montana to the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Returning home to Big Sky Country she brought this connection with nature to her job at WRFI, as well as her accounting skills and her passion for hands-on education. She finds great joy in the excitement of meeting new students and instructors as they prepare to head out into the wild to experience nature, science, art, conservation and a deep appreciation for our truly magnificent, yet fragile, home, the planet Earth.
