Zoe Pritchard

Instructor

Zoe is a high school science teacher with a research background in native bee biology and a spark for exploring the West. Growing up in Iowa, she fell in love with the prairies of the Midwest and was captivated by the ways our food systems impact both environment and people. She started studying bees in prairie and agricultural ecosystems and was quickly hooked on the beautiful diversity of native bees. She received her Master’s Degree in Entomology from Montana State University, where she documented native bee diversity across the many ecosystems of Montana. She has also studied native bees and wildflowers in the Yosemite high alpine, and ant sociobiology in Switzerland. Currently, she teaches high school science and plans expeditionary learning at Bozeman Field School, where she is passionate about leading trips to engage students in community, in ecosystem, and in current issues. She loves dabbling in all sorts of art, music, and trail running around her Bozeman home.
