The Wild Rockies Field Institute provides an incredibly unique opportunity for students to really engage with the cultures, landscapes, and ecosystems of the United States. I felt that in many ways, I was studying abroad in my own country, getting to know landscapes, issues, and cultures that were far outside of my home region. I feel wildly lucky and so grateful to have spent two months with a group of incredible instructors and students learning about the beauty, complexities, and resiliency of the Colorado Plateau.
